Description: B.E.A Plane arriving at Scilly. The plane is a De Havilland Dragon Rapide designed in the mid 1930s. Following the inauguration of scheduled services between Land's End and St Mary's, Isles of Scilly in 1947, BEA served this route with Dragon Rapides due to a lack of a suitable fixed-wing alternative, until BEA Helicopters took it over on 2 May 1964 using the Sikorsky S-61N helicopter.
