Item: Rosalia, Italian steamer wrecked at Hartland Quay in 1904.
Description: The Italian steamer Rosalia of Genoa grounded at Hartland Quay in fog and calm weather on 27 May 1904. She was a total loss. The ship was built at Stockton on Tees in 1892 and named Polana. In 1904 she was sold to Genoa and renamed Rosalia. When lost she was sailing from Genoa to Newport, Monmouth, in ballast.
