Description: Wreck of the SS Devon on Pencarrow Rocks, Wellington, New Zealand, 25 August 1913. The ship grounded near the entrance to Wellington harbour after an error in navigation mistaking the lights of the port. A lifeline was set up to shore and all the crew and ship's cat and kittens were saved. The ship traded between the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
