Item: Landing Fish at St Ives
Description: Landing Fish at St Ives - fish was unloaded over the side of the fishing boats onto punts. The punts were then sculled to the lifeboat slipway beach where the fish were spread out for sale. The fish were then carted off to their various destinations such as the station, the fish stores or the fish platts on the prom. Left to right are the gigs, Custom House, Martins Ship, Rouncefields, kipperhouse, Court Cocking, Rose Lodge, Shore shelter lodge, Luke the blacksmith, Fore Street Chapel, lifeboat winch and lifeboat slipway.
