Item: St Mary's Church, Penzance
Description: Dock Lane leading from Chapel Street to the sea front in Penzance. Two boys are standing on a pair of wheels which could be part of an open carriage or a wheelbarrow. Mother, baby and toddler pose in one doorway with five or six children standing in the street. The road surface is clean, the cottages look smart. These homes were demolished in the 1930s as part of the government slum clearance programme.
