Item: Penzance Promenade
Description: The Promenade was constructed in 1843, the railings were fixed into position in 1865. The bandstand, a gift from Richard Foster Bolitho of Ponsandane, was presented to the borough in 1905. The dress would suggest a Victorian time, the Queen's Hotel has its portico and opposite is a sandy beach. leading to Batten's Wharf.
