Item: Transformer Sunday
Description: This is one of a series of photographs taken by Richard Brothers to show the slow journey of a wide transformer, unloaded at Penzance harbour and taken by road to Summercourt. Police escorts were required and roads were cleared for this event on a quiet Sunday. Note Timothy Whites on the corner of Market Jew Street and Chapel Street, opposite Lloyds Bank. This photograph must have been taken from above the Midland Bank at the bottom of Causewayhead.
