Item: Diesel Hydraulic Warship
Description: A Diesel Hydraulic Warship of which 71 were constructed by Swindon Works and the North British Locomotive Company of Glasgow between 1958 and 1962. They were withdrawn in 1972 as the Railway Executive opted for Diesel Elecctric traction. Of interest in the train formation are 2 LMS sleeping cars which possibly came into Cornwall on a through Glasgow, Manchester to Penzance service as sleeping cars were conveyed only as far as Plymouth.
