Item: Penlee House
Description: This is the eastern elevation of Penlee House. The room on the far left was a drawing room for the Branwell family and there are photographs of them taken on this spot. After WW2 a public appeal raised funds to purchase the Penlee House and Gardens as war memorial. The museum re-located to the house in June 1949 and opened in its current form in 1997
