Item: Arrested in Mounts Bay
Description: The fisher protection vessel HMS Argus with 4 LoguiVy crabberrs, Fletan P2273, Emeraude P2427, Helene P2423 and Perle P2425 under arrest in Penzance Dock. The Argus arrested these 4 vessels in Mounts Bay on Sunday 1 July 1906 for fishing within the 3 mile limit. On 2 July they were found guilty and fined £10 each with confiscation of their catches. Lieutenant Hicks of HMS Argus was promoted to Lieutenant in 1907. The Argus later became the Peninnis on the Scilly route until 1926.
