Item: Fowey, St Catherine's Fort (reference 21234)
Description: A view of the Fowey River from St Catherine's Fort towards Polruan, Polruan Blockhouse and Pont Pill. Fowey and Polruan blockhouses were built during the 100 Years War in the 1380s. St Catherine's Fort was built during Henry VIIIs reign in 1538-40 by Thomas Treffry during fears of a French invasion.
