Item: Green Burrow Engine House at Newmill
Description: Locally known as Ding Dong mine because of the loud bell rung to signal shift changes in the mine, this engine house was a pumping shaft, the most westerly of three. It was a hoisting engine. The stonework was restored in the 20th century and it commands a majestic view over Mounts Bay.
