Item: Madron parish church, seen through the lynch gate
Description: Madron parish church, seen through the lynch gate which was erected to commemorate those who lost their lives in the South African War, 1899 to 1902. Made of timber, the inscription reads, "In Christ all shall be made alive." The inscription in the granite reads, "Lest We Forget, To the Memory of Those who gave their lives for their country, South Aftrica 1899 to 1902."
