Item: Four boys sitting on Newlyn Quay with buckets full of fish and ice
Description: This picture is of the North Pier at Newlyn looking towards Harbour Road and the fish market. The stern of the Cretehill can be seen aground. It was used to store coal for the Lowestoft and Yarmouth steam drifters before 1939. It sustained bomb damage in WWll and was disposed of in 1949. The boys are locals despite the beret and the smocks. The youth on the far right could be a Tonkin.
