Item: A cider press at Trewinnard
Description: This is a horse or donkey powered cider press at Trewinnard near Hayle. Apples would be poured into the stone base and the central stone would be turned around to pulp the fruit. Juice would be drained off and strained into barrels for fermentation. Proper cider apples need no added sugar.
