Item: The iron cannon from the Anson
Description: Captain Anderson had raised the iron cannon from The Anson on 11 April 1903. He is pictured here in his Sunday best, with his wife, family and crew in the hold of his ship, The Greencastle. The cannon later disintegrated due to lack of conservation techniques.
