Item: St Just in Penwith
Description: This is the view of St Just looking north west from the Penzance road, circa 1909. The area has been inhabited since prehistory. The present 2013 structure of settlement dates from the establishment of a church by Saint Just, most likely after the Anglo Saxon invasions after 428 AD. Up until the 16th century St Just was relatively undeveloped. It has retained its character as an exposed place set on a windy height.
