Identification
Item: Following the Ash Wednesday storms, the repair of Penzance Promenade gets under way
Description: This would appear to be the eastern end of the promenade near the bathing pool. Vertical spikes have been driven into the ground beneath the promenade wall to take the blocks as seen hangng from the nearer crane. This work had to be done at low tide and it is a credit to those involved that the Promenade was restored ready for the summer holiday trade which was so important to the town's economy.
