Item: Old Road to Newlyn 1880s
Description: The old road to Newlyn was destroyed by storm damage in late 1880s and so the 'new' road was built somewhat away from the shoreline. The Serpentine Works can be seen in the centre background and were owned by a London company. The area pictured later became site of Bolitho Gardens.
