Item: The effects of the Ash Wednesday storm on Lower Morrab Road, Penzance
Description: To the right, the basement of the Queens Hotel has flooded as has Trelawney's garage and the houses and shop in Brighton Terrace. The house adjacent to the hotel was demolished following this incident. To the left, the houses, shop fitter's shop and framing gallery were also flooded. Later, the lamp-post in the centre would topple; the area was temporarily evacuated by the Council. Trelawney Garage moved from this site in 2012.
