Item: The cannon in Morrab Road
Description: This close up is one of a series of photographs taken by Harry Penhaul to record the setting of this local memorial outside the Public Library in Morrab Road in 1953. The dolphin feature of the handle is interesting. The cannon is a demi-culven found near Low Lee Rock on 30 October 1916. The handle is in the form of a dolphin. The cannon was stolen in the 1990s.
