Identification
Description: Borough of Penzance booklet giving standing orders, powers and duties of standing committees and extracts from the Local Government Act 1993. These principles were adopted by the Council at a meeting on the 14th April 1953, and is followed by the name of the Town Clerk, D.J Beattie. Green cloth binding with the Penzance Borough coat of arms printed in gold on the front cover. Handwritten in black to the top edge of the cover are a few words that are now illegible. Inside the front cover is the signature of who is presumbably the owner of the book : P.W Tresidder / Borough Engineer and / Surveyor.' Another name 'MD Kavanagh' has been crossed out.
