A space for all

Built in 1865, as the home of the Branwell family. Penlee House is home to many paintings by members of the Newlyn School. It is also home to the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society collection.

Richard and either Norah or Agatha Chirgwin pictured with toy pony and dead cart. Norah was born in 1896, Agatha in 1897 and Richard in 1901. Their father, Percy Chirgwin, ran a grocer's shop and cafe in Penzance. Agatha went on to be the first lady Mayor of Penzance.
