A space for all

Built in 1865, as the home of the Branwell family. Penlee House is home to many paintings by members of the Newlyn School. It is also home to the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society collection.

Falmouth Boating Club puts on a demonstration at the opening of the Rotary Boating Pool, Penzance. The Mayor, Agatha Chirgwin, opened this facility on 5 August 1955 and thanked the Rotary Club who had given the pool as a mark of their own Jubilee. Special mention was made of the hard work of Mr Sam Peake and Mr Angus Greenwood.
