A space for all

Built in 1865, as the home of the Branwell family. Penlee House is home to many paintings by members of the Newlyn School. It is also home to the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society collection.

  • ArtyAfternoon: A Row of Houses

    The exhibition A Passion for Cornish Art contains quite a few paintings of buildings.  Be inspired by artists such as David Haughton and Wilhelmina Barns-Graham to decorate a row of houses. FREE family activities take place every Saturday; drop in anytime between 2:30 pm and 3.30 p.m.  

  • Penlee Baby Sensory

    Free, drop-in session for babies from birth to crawlers. Come and experience the amazing artworks whilst exploring sensory play together in the Gallery.

  • Little Penlee Explorers

    Join us to explore, play and create at Penlee House!  With activities throughout the galleries, these free, drop-in sessions are for under 5s and their grown-ups. Monthly on Mondays, 10am-12pm.
