Experience: Bronze Age Metal-Work

July 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Experience: Bronze Age Metal-Work

Did you know that Mounts Bay was once covered in forest? And that the area around Penzance was known for producing metal and stone? This was traded extensively as early as the Bronze Age!

Visit us at Penlee House Gallery & Museum to meet an expert archaeologist and take part in archaeological activities, as you explore the Bronze Age in Cornwall!

Handle replica and genuine finds, take part in a mock dig and make prehistoric artefacts inspired by the Bronze Age axe heads in our collection.

Discover archaeology with us, as part of the Festival of Archaeology 2026! Come join us for a drop-in workshop featuring axes & mining!

Free workshop, kindly provided by Penlee House
