Description: A photograph of St Ives from Tregenna Castle grounds by J.Valentine (no.5843) showing from left to right: The Terrace; Railway station 1877 & broad gauge track and rolling stock; Sloop Inn; Fish Street; White Hart; The original St Nicholas' Chapel on the Island (subsequently demolished in 1904; at least two tiers of mackerel boats in the harbour; another tier of mackerel boats on moorings outside Smeaton's Pier, sheltered by the wooden New Pier (1860s).
