Item: Penzance Harbour in the sunshine
Description: Penzance and Newlyn Harbours are the first secure anchorages on the coast of the English Channel. John Leland mentions a quay here in Tudor times; In the 18th century Penzance Harbour was well established as a tin port. Here, a large sailing boat has tied up to Etension Pier and there are many small boats in the harbour with St Mary's Church in the background.
