Item: The Old Banquetting Hall in Penzance
Description: At 10 Chapel Street, Penzance, opposite the Union Hotel, this first floor room was known as the Mayor's parlour or the old Court Room possibly up until the 1920s. It was the residence of the Tremenheeres and in 1825 John Branwel Jnr had his legal practice here, with its entrance in Chancery Lane which is in evidence in 2015. It is listed Grade ll and is 2 storeyed with a brick front and 3 windows. The panelling was removed and sold to a London firm. In 2015 it is a junk shop.
