Item: The Promenade, Penzance
Description: A view of the Penzance Promenade showing the Pavilion and theatre entrance; Cornwall Terrace; former Serpentine Workshop; Observatory; and Queens Hotel which was built in 1869. The bandstand given by Richard Foster Bolitho of Ponsandene in 1905, is in the foreground, until it was demolished by the 1962 storm. One of a series of 12 photographs from an album.
