Identification
Item: Old Almshouses, Lower Market Jew Street, Penzance
Description: A depiction of the 1664 Buller Almshouses, demolished in 1832. This watercolour is probably a copy of a work by John Skinner Prout. Charles Eva originally studied at Penzance School of Art, continuing at the Royal College of Art. He later became Acting Principal of the Hammersmith School of Arts and Crafts.
Condition: Fair - some discolouration to mount but otherwise good condition.
