Item: Tucking a School of Pilchards (The Tuck Boat)
Description: This painting shows a group of fishermen gathering a shoal of pilchards. It follows on from Craft's earlier work 'Hevva, Hevva', which depicts a huer shouting to the villagers that the pilchards have come into the bay. Everyone in the village would run down to the shore to help net the fish.
