Item: Carbis Bay Beach and Carbis Bay Hotel.
Description: Carbis Bay Hotel and Carbis Bay Beach looking towards Porthminster Point. Treloyhan Manor (built in 1892 for Edward Hain) is also in view as is St Ives Island and Porthminster Point. Carbis Bay Hotel was built on the site of former mine workings. The arrival of the Branch Line was followed by the acquiring of Tregenna Castle as a hotel and the Carbis Bay Hotel and Porthminster Hotel.
