Item: Mousehole village from The Wharf towards The Cliff.
Description: Masts leaning against 'The Cliff' wall and men and boys in the foreground. The man standing next to the wall in a suit and wearing a beard is Alexander Gibson. The 143 PZ 'Rodney', also in view, was formerly PE 216 (prior to 1869) 38.9ft, owned by William Harvey of Mousehole from 1869-1880 when she was destroyed in a southerly gale. It seems likely that this photograph was taken at the same time as 2016.50.281 circa 1880.
