Identification
Item: Bodilly's Mill, Wherrytown, Penzance
Description: Built in 1874, Boddily's Mill only consisted of the darker, left-hand double-fronted block together with the single storey building to the left. In 1893, the mill was extended by the adjoining two bays of granaries to the right, as shown in this photograph. By the early 20th century, the mill was no longer paying its way, and was put up for sale in 1904, but did not find a buyer. It appears again in the 1907 O.S. map but as corn mill (disused). The date of the demolition of the building is unknown, but by the mid 1930s, the site was occupied by the Western National Omnibus Co. depot.
