Item: The Dwe Genen Ny in Penzance Wet Dock
Description: PZ185 was built as a trawler/long liner for Michael Hocking (who skippered her for three years) and Partners by John Lewis of Aberdeen in 1975. In the winter of 1975 she was the first boat to pump her catch aboard. Robert George became skipper in 1978. She fished for mackerel in the Minches with the Silver Harvester in 1979-1980. In 1977, £6,153 was earned for aa long line catch of 2,600 stone of ling. She was converted for seine nettng, working south of Ireland. From 1982-1989 she worked the North Sea from Aberdeen. In 2000 she was sold to Scotland and became the Resolute INS67 and the Karmarra KY205 before being broken up in Ghent in 2011.
