Identification
Item: The Wooden Fire Engine
Description: This is a wooden fire engine, presumably a model with wooden wheels, one with a central rivet and a metal rim; the other one in view has collapsed. It consists of a series of five horizontal rods on two vertical supports at the front, presumably to pump water from the upright riveted structure at the back. There appears to be a hose inlet on the back with a rectangular slot above. A small tube atop this structure could be a water inlet. There is no sign of an attachment for towing.
