Item: Tregavarah Cross
Description: This cross was discovered at Rose an Beagle in Paul Parish. It was moved to the junction of the lane leading from the St Just Road to Tregavarah in the 19th century. Between 2005 and 2007 it was struck and broken into three pieces by a heavy goods lorry. It was rescued by members of the Madron Old Cornwall Society, repaired and re-positioned by English Heritage. There is a full report available in the Penzance Library and with the archives of Madron Old Cornwall Society.
