Item: Seagulls, St Ives
Description: A fisherman prepares fish for market on the Wharf. He is 'winging' ray on the promenade near Court Cocking, St Ives. The centre of the ray was cut out to leave the edible wings. The pavement on Wharf Road was divided into fish plots used for handling white fish and counting herring. From left to right are Luke's blacksmith's shop, Fore Street Methodist Church; the fish buyers' huts; iron bollards; Chy and Chy; Rose Lodge; Shore Shelter Lodge; Harbour Office; Sloop Inn and the slipway.
Condition: Good - no obvious damage.
