Item: The statue to Humphry Davy at the top of Market Jew Street in Penzance
Description: The statue of Sir Humphry Davy is of white marble on a granite base, made by Wills of London and paid for by public subscription. He was born either in a house on this site or in a house a couple of doors down to the right of the picture and served his apprenticeship in his uncle's chemist shop opposite.
