Description: The staff at Nancegollan Railway Station, winners of the British Railways Garden Competition (South-West Region, Plymouth Section) in October 1956. 64 stations entered the competition. Pictured from left to right: S.J. Jeffery, Station Master; W.A. Stephens, Leading Porter-Signalman; W.H. Dale, Signalman; E.A. Bone, Porter. The men are tending one of the borders they made from derelict land.
