Item: Sennen Cove RNLI Centenary - rehousing the lifeboat
Description: One in a series of photos depicting the re-housing of the Susan Ashley after a celebration launch and trip for guests and VIPs to celebrate the station's 100th anniversary. She is picking up lines for guiding the lifeboat on to the recovery slip. The RNLI flag is flying. She was a 41' Watson Cabin boat in service from 1948 to 1973. The station has been in operation here from 1853 and is still operating in 2013.
