Identification
Item: The causeway at low tide
Description: Closing Rock on left centre at one time had a cross on it and there is a hole where the base (plinth) rested; now a small rectangular pool. The laundry (back left) housed RA Battery (954) in the second world war, also the 'Buffs' (East Kent) - later the East Lancs. Regiment Platoon. The Changing House is in the centre to the left of the causeway. The back of Eastern Quay also blocked off archway; boats landed and unloaded here at high tide before the pier was extended.
