Item: The construction of the car park adjacent to St John's Hall, Penzance
Description: Tonkin's Weith, Alverton Glebe, this area had been used as a fair field in the past and was the site of a church from 1832 to 1836 when St Mary's was being rebuilt. After the construction of the car park, the telephone box was moved across to near the exit opposite the new police station.
