Item: Royal Yacht Victoria and Albert II
Description: This photograph may have been taken during the Jubilee Review. The Royal Yacht, the paddle steamer 'Victoria & Albert II', was one of three of the same name. A paddle steamer, 2470 tons. 360 ft length, built at Pembroke Dock launched January 1855, extensive refit in 1868 and scrapped c.1904. Speed 15 knots. Frequently used by Queen Victoria and other Royals to travel to Osborne House on the Isle of Wight and a regular attendee at Cowes week.
