Item: Edith Branwell, Marion Mudge and a young boy
Description: A photograph of (left to right) Edith Branwell, what Elizabeth Trewhella refers to as Alfred Branwell, and Marion Mudge, nee Branwell, three of JR and Elizabeth Branwell's six children. However, the age and looks of the boy suggest he is in fact Herbert Thomas, Laura Branwell's son. They are standing in front of the main doorway into Penlee House. Elizabeth Trewhella has dated the photograph to 'approx. 1877'.
Condition: Fair - discolouration to the top half and left side of the photograph and foxing to the top left-hand corner.
