Item: Penzance Promenade
Description: Penzance Promenade. Two ladies are wheeling a black pram towards the camera. One lady in a long white dress holds her umbrella looking out to sea. Two dogs play in the foreground. A group of ladies and children walk away from the camera. A number of people sit on the bench. The Gun battery, built in 1740 to protect the harbour against the French during the Napoleonic wars, can be seen in the background, at Battery Rocks. St. Mary's Church is also visible to the far left.
Condition: Good - medium amount of discolouration to the top and right edges, with a small amount of foxing to the top half of the photograph.
