Item: High Street, St Ives, c.1910
Description: High Street, St Ives in the early 20th century, certainly before 1920. The Bank of Cornwall and the Queen's Hotel is on the left, its stables opposite. The Scala Cinema was built on this site in 1920, a popular local flea pit, universally known as the 'scaler.' Dale's Garage is on the right with the Parish Church in the centre of the picture.
