Item: Virgin Street, St. Ives
Description: Virgin Street looking towards the Digey and Fore Street. It looks like a washday Monday in summer; note the water running down the gutter. The outside steps lead to the fish cellars beneath the houses. Cats in Downlong St Ives were a popular postcard theme, but cats were kept to keep down vermin.
