Identification
Item: Quaint Corners, St Ives - Pudding Bag Lane and Fish Street
Description: This cottage between Pudding Bag Lane and Fish Street was a picturesque obstruction unlikely to survive the motor car and was demolished in 1924. It was the home of the Cock family who were blacksmiths. To the left of the picture is the Sloop Inn; Pudding Bag Lane (officially Capel Court); to the right of the cottage is Fish Street, known locally as Dick's Hill. The washing suggests the picture was taken on a Monday. Pudding Bag Lane was demolished about 1936 and is now the Sloop car park.
